Refurbished HP 7694 headspace autosampler (p/n G1289A). A headspace autosampler provides an aliquot of the headspace of a sample vial to the analytical instrument. The sample thermostated in the oven for a well-defined time to reach an equilibrium between solid/liquid phase and gas phase.
Following a pressurization and venting step the sample loop is filled with the analyte molecules.
